AWARDS HIGHLIGHTS

Nick Blazquez
"The Diageo Africa Business Reporting Awards are all about ensuring that there is a balanced view about the opportunities for business in Africa. Our motivation in doing this is to encourage other people to invest in the continent.

The awards recognise great journalism both in newspaper articles, TV features, radio features. They provided the opportunity to celebrate those journalists who have provided a good and balanced view of the opportunities in Africa.

Most reporting that you hear from Africa is about disease, famine, poverty and that really is not a balanced view. We operate businesses in Africa highly successfully. We really believe that successful businesses will encourage development in these countries through providing education, training, development and investment in infrastructure and so on."
