Zeinab Badawi
Zeinab BadawiZeinab Badawi, who was born in Sudan, is an internationally news broadcaster. She has worked for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Independent Television News (ITN). She has also worked in radio, regularly presenting The World Tonight on Radio 4 and BBC World's Newshour.

In addition to her professional activities, Zeinab is closely involved with Africa through her work with the Africa Medical Partnership Fund (AFRIMED), which enables doctors and nurses from the UK to work in Africa performing life-saving operations.

Mrs Badawi is also a Trustee of the BBC World Service Trust, which works with people in developing and transitional countries to improve the quality of their lives through the innovative use of the media.
