Robert Guest
"I'd like to say a couple of things. Firstly, thank you very much indeed. I'm both delighted and honoured to have been chosen. In several years of reporting on Africa I have often been assisted by Diageo's products in my research! There is one serious thing I would like to say. Everything that's been said so far has been about journalists and our woeful inability to cover Africa in the depth that that wonderful continent deserves. I would like to add that there's a little bit of a problem with business, foreign business particularly, being too apologetic about what it does. The most important thing that business does is to make profits and a by-product of that is that you create jobs. Thank you."
