East African Breweries Limited (EABL) is a public company listed on both the Nairobi and Kampala Stock Exchanges. 49.97% of EABL's shares are publicly held by over 23,000 local shareholders. Diageo's holding in the group is 50.03%. By market capitalisation, EABL is the largest listed company on both of these stock exchanges.

EABL employs over 1200 people and has four operating units in Kenya:
- Kenya Breweries Ltd.
- Central Glass Industries Ltd.
- Kenya Maltings Ltd.
- United Distillers & Vintners Kenya Ltd
- UDV(K). EABL owns 46% of UDVK and
- has management control, while Diageo
- holds 54% of this company.

Main brands: Tusker, Pilsner, Guinness FES, Smirnoff Ice, Senator, Allsopps and Malta Guinness. UDVK produces and markets a wide variety of spirit brands such as Smirnoff Vodka, Popov Vodka, Gilbey's Gin, Three Barrels, Richot Brandy, Bond 7 whisky, Kenya Cane and Cane Extra.
