East African Breweries Ltd (EABL), through Uganda Breweries, is working with close to 2,500 local farmers through a barley out growers scheme that has enabled Uganda Breweries to use locally grown barley in the production of our beer brands in Uganda.
Guinness Ghana Breweries is supporting three northern regions of Ghana in the development of local sorghum, which will provide significant income opportunities for farmers where levels of poverty are high. |

Guinness Nigeria is working with Enterprise Works to train local artisans to produce treadle pumps that will aid farmers in irrigating large areas of farmland, improving productivity and income for the farmers. It is the first time that treadle pumps are being manufactured and used in the country and around 700 farmers are set to benefit from the project.
East African Breweries Ltd (EABL) initiated the setting up of the "Save a Life Fund", which to date has benefited over 135,000 famine victims across Kenya. |
