Paul Walsh
"I think these awards are necessary for a couple of reasons. First of all, as a company we have had a wonderful experience in the African marketplace. We've seen very good growth. It's a very good market for our products, particularly Guinness. However, I don't believe that view is universally shared. Many other markets around the world, particularly emerging markets, get an awful lot of very positive coverage, but that isn't always the case with Africa. So what we're trying to do through these awards is really raise the profile and make sure people are aware that you can have a very sound business model and sound business practices in the African marketplace."
